Our client, a leader in online Realty, is seeking a contract User Experience Designer to join its UX Team in LA for a 6-month contract. This contract position will drive the design of experiences for a variety of projects and initiatives including both web and mobile applications. If you are looking to contribute to experiences and strategies breaking new ground, this might be the opportunity for you.

The User Experience Designer should have a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, usable experiences.  They come up to speed fast and can hit the ground running — they know when to execute quickly and when to dive deep. They have experience presenting and managing relationships with stakeholders and their adjacencies on a variety of efforts that support both the business and a strong user experience. They live in the world where business goals, research, and experiences overlap, and arm themselves with those understandings to drive towards standard-setting solutions. Most importantly, they understand that there is a human sitting on the other side of their designs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Employs user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications including site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, high fidelity mockups and style guides.
  • Works closely with product management to clarify and define business requirements as they apply to the user interface.
  • Works closely with user experience research to translate findings from usability studies, surveys, etc. into improved user experiences. Makes design decisions driven by research when appropriate but also has a keen sense of what will work well.
  • Appreciates critical feedback (both giving and receiving) and seeks it out in reviews with peers, stakeholders and research. Really listens to the feedback and can balance multiple, sometimes conflicting, inputs when arriving at a final design.
  • Contributes to the creation, adoption and improvement of design patterns and guidelines, and their consistent deployment across various website properties.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from a 4-year University or art school, degree in Human Computer Interaction (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-8 years of experience designing successful interactive websites/applications as a key member of a User Experience team.
  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices, visual trends and emerging web technologies.
  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail.
  • A sense of humor and passion for adventure is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Occasional travel to offices in San Jose or Vancouver.
  • Need to be able to collaborate across locations.

What You’ll Do:
• Develop HTML and CSS for feature updates and new innovations
• Understand how your work plugs into the back-end, working with development and design teams to ensure your projects are pixel-perfect and fully functional within the product
• Example best-in-class design and dev methods to be modeled by others
• Prototype multiple solutions to a given design problem for motion studies and testing
• Wear the hat of a visual designer, if needed

My client is looking for an experienced web developer with visual design chops and an ability to define and drive big ideas to join it’s Buyer Experience Web Dev team.

What You’ll Do:
This Web Developer will build new features as well as end-to-end web sites. The candidate will think on their feet in a fast-paced environment while working with a team. The Web Developer will express their own ideas for enhancing the overall Buyer Experience.

What You’ll Need:
The ideal candidate will have e-commerce and/or product design experience and will be able to showcase examples of their prior work. This person will be a self-sufficient, seasoned web developer with great communication skills.
– Jquery or some other library but also a clear understanding of native JS

Job Description:
Our client, a leading, household-name in the ePayments industry, is looking for a uniquely talented web software development engineer to create a new web front end for a merchant monitoring system. As a member of the merchant monitoring team, your responsibilities will include web flow strategy, front end architecture, working with the back end architecture team, along with design and development of the web interface. In addition, we are looking for expertise in user experience (UX) design including look-and-feel of the customer experience.

The successful candidate will produce clear, simple, extensible, well-communicated and well-documented architecture design and implementations. In addition, the candidate will be an expert in numerous front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, REST APIs, front-end frameworks such as Angular, EmberJS, etc. Also preferred – but not required – are comfort with full-stack JavaScript with NodeJS, and experience in team collaboration teams with GitHub.

Our client’s project is about creating a holistic merchant monitoring solution that provides Real-Time Monitoring Service for Merchants and Partners who want to closely monitor Payment Processing.

In this role, a typical work day would include working closely with Architects to understand backend architecture in order to efficiently architect, design, and implement the fron- end web interface. In addition, this person will be working with product managers and other engineers to design a slick and simple look-and-feel web design.

What You’ll Need:
– Modern Javascript/HTML/CSS skills
– Current JS practices and libraries (i.e. jQuery, YUI, Ember.js, etc.)
– Expertise in semantic HTML, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive web design.
