Our client is rapidly expanding its convenient checkout solution beyond the web and mobile devices. Our goal is to easily allow small and medium size businesses (SMBs) to get paid whenever and wherever they do business. This includes enabling payments on the go and in retail stores at the point of sale (POS). As the Manager, Lead Generation Marketing for the SMB Retail Partner team, you will play a key role in driving the success of our POS Partners to be a new sales and distribution channel to promote the client’s offline solutions.

You will be responsible for creating and managing marketing efforts that will help drive leads to our POS Partners, contributing to us driving a step function improvement in our distribution capabilities, significantly grow our revenue, and enhance awareness of our offerings. You will also be responsible for lead tracking for attribution, including identifying opportunities for lead management improvement.

You will leverage existing marketing channels to create ongoing and ad-hoc marketing programs that drive a pipeline of leads into our various POS partners sales teams. You will work closely with other members of the SMB Retail Partner team to ensure that messaging and marketing campaigns are aligned cross-channel. Lead generation tools leveraged could include: onsite, email, social media, direct mail, paid media (online, mobile, search, display, print), PR/blogs, and other activities.

In your role, you will partner with diverse cross-functional teams and external partners and agencies to execute and deliver results. You must have the ability to succeed in a heavily matrixed environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a positive, productive, and transparent way.


What You’ll Do:

-Be the voice of the merchant – the expert on insights and their needs and what POS messages speak to them.
-Clearly understand the unique strengths of each of the MPOS Partners in relation to offline solutions and be able to communicate that in cohesive value prop messaging.
-Develop an ongoing marketing activity plan to drive a consistent pipeline of leads to our POS Partners. In addition, develop ad-hoc marketing strategies to drive short-term spikes in lead generation volume.
-Execute ongoing and ad-hoc marketing activities by working with various internal and external agencies and vendors to create and deliver marketing assets and track results.
-Closely monitor and track leads on an ongoing basis including lead volume, lead quality, and time to conversion.
-Be the marketing voice for any lead tracking tools used identify opportunities for improvement and provide requirements to the appropriate teams.
-Evaluate activities from an ROI perspective to support the business focus on the biggest and highest return marketing investments.
-Communicate lead pipeline activity to various levels to help make business decisions for future strategies and budget allocation.
-Collaborate with key internal partners including Business Development, Customer Support/Ops, Field Sales, Web Dev, Campaign Ops, and Legal, as well as other members of the Merchant Marketing team.
-Provide direction and feedback to agencies and other outside vendors.


What You’ll Need:

-Proven business-to-business marketing experience. Within the payments industry is a plus.
-Experience developing lead generation campaigns and strategies.
-Experience fully executing on program and campaign-level marketing strategies and plans, leveraging a variety of integrated tactics and channels.
-Experience with tracking sales leads from end-to-end from a marketing campaign piece all the way through to conversion and activation.
-Marketing data driven mindset and experience using data and customer insights to inform strategy, drive decisions.
-Ability to effectively communicate both vertically and horizontally, and to efficiently and effectively work with cross-functional teams and third parties to execute.
– Highly organized, with demonstrated skills managing a variety of tasks and work-streams simultaneously.
-Experience with marketing channels such as website, email, onsite (banners, landing pages), CS, IM, mobile, and direct mail.
– 5+ years of relevant experience
-BS / BA Marketing. MBA a plus
